On April 14, 2077, 60 years after a war with extraterrestrials has devastated Earth, technician "Tech 49" Jack Harper repairs combat drones that attack alien scavengers and guard offshore fusion generators called "hydrorigs". He works with housemate and communications partner Victoria "Vika" Olsen; the pair are led by mission director Sally aboard the Tet, a giant space station orbiting Earth aiding humanity's colonization of Saturn's moon Titan.
